End of first day evaluation Sunset and Friday Success

Saturday, day number two of the Make a Difference Project began with hundreds of volunteers showing up to help and have fun.

The joint effort of volunteers, both local and from the region, corporate sponsors and government agencies proved to be a great successful effort for the community of Greensburg.

The children were thrilled with the play equipment. They kept asking "Aren't they finished yet?" "When can we get on it?" It was so amazing to hear the sound of children laughing in Sunset Acre Park again.

The greatest joy for the adults was doing something to help the children. And watching that tornado wrecked park, transformed into a place of beauty and fun in such a short period of time was truly a miracle. The arrangement of trees and plantings was delightfully artistic and will be enjoyed by generations to come. We are truly grateful.

A great big thank you to all of the Can-Do Committee, volunteers, corporate sponsors, the communities that raised money for trees, the folks that provided trees and tree planting education for the residents, and to our government agencies that helped organize this and make it a reality.

A great big thank you too to the electrical crews who have been working so hard to get electricity to our homes. You guys are great! Thanks guys!
